Situated in the middle of the Mediterranean sea, Italy is historically the heart of Europe.
Since the early times, the Roman Empire rises in the region of Rome and will recover the major part of the
mediterranean basin. Later, Italy will also be the place of birth of the Renaissance movement, which will gain the entire continent between the 15th and the 16th century.
Today, we can still find a wide range of remains from those golden periods of the Italian history. We can indeed admire the historical monuments such as the Latin Forum or the Navonne Place in Rome, the Pise Tower, the old town of Sienna, the greek temples of Segeste or Agrigente (Sicily), or the Renaissances villas surrounding the lakes in the northern part of the country.
The greatness of Italy doesn't stop here : its famous gastronomy (pizzas, pasta, wines, cheeses ...) will please anybody who sits in an Italian restaurant.
Moreover, the landscapes of the Italian boot are truely marvelous. The Dolomites and the italian Alpes have nothing to envy to the most beautiful mountains in the wolrd.
